Shabby lace

If you’re a crafter, you probably got that disappointing feeling at least once, that feeling when you expect an echo and get none. I hate that feeling. I get most inspired if my latest project was successful. So I started working on some neck-laces (get it?) yesterday, and felt so good about the idea that I’ve already made three. You can check my moodboard on Pinterest if you like. It’s quite romantic!

I’ve used ivory lace on the front and colorful chiffon on the backside (pink, baby blue and peach), plastic pearl-like beads, silver and bronze chain, even a key charm to spice things up. The lace is shabby in appearance, but I like to think that it’s shabby chic. Don’t worry though, it won’t fall apart.

I believe any of the necklaces would look great over a simple dress, with a boat-neck perhaps. And I like that they can be worn all year round.

The necklaces are unique for now – and I will only make more if I get positive feedback and you guys like them. I’m trying to save and organize my resources and time, rather than do things at random like I usually do.

The necklaces will be available in the shop in the next few days – you can get updates on my Facebook page, by the way.

  • Your necklaces look lovely, and it’s an added bonus that they’re unique. Maybe you could find a stall at a market in Cluj? I’m sure lots of people would want to buy them for Christmas presents.
