Thrifted sweater + Chloe sunglasses (c/o)
For a few days last week, it was spring. The sun was out and you could leave your beanie at home. You could even wear sunglasses, what a dream! Mine are Chloe and they’ve been sent to me by SmartBuyGlasses. After fooling myself for years and throwing out chipped pair after broken pair of cheap sunglasses, I am now proud to say I only own timeless, good quality eyewear like these babies. It even feels more ethical that way. I’ve been trying to move away from fast fashion lately (hence the focus on handmade on this here blog) and while sometimes instant gratification still gets the best of me, I think I’m learning to be more mature about shopping. I found this Irish knit cardigan in a vintage shop, after flirting with the idea of such a piece for a while. It’s perfectly cozy and very much oversized (I think it was men’s sweater, actually), which makes it so good for layering over a jacket when the weather allows. Bonus: it’s the first item of clothing I own that also fits my husband.
