With the holidays around the corner, I thought it would be nice to send some handwritten invitations to party guests or to attach such a card to a gift box. Since nothing says “festive” like sequins do, I decided on some sequined cards. Want to know how you can make your own? It’s probably the easiest thing you can do, and you don’t have to be particularly crafty for the final result to look wonderful.
What you need:
- paper (envelope sized)
The first thing you need to do is cut a few sequins in half. They don’t have to be even. You will use these at the sides of the paper, for an effect of continuity.
Glue the half sequins at the paper edges, and then glue whole sequins in a random fashion – overlapping, even. Do only two opposite corners, so that it doesn’t feel like too much. Guess what? You’re done! Write your card and place it in a pretty envelope – it’s good to go! See? I told you it was super easy.
