My name is Daria. I’m from Romania but I’ve been living in Berlin, Germany since 2015. I work freelance as an online writer and social media consultant. I married a photographer so that I have enough photos of myself, forever. Little did I know, he claims to have his own stuff going on and won’t commit to being my full-time employee.
I’ve started Kittenhood* in the middle ages of the internet, as a means of promoting a handmade jewelry line I had. It was called Kittenhood! I kept nothing but the name and my passion for everything handmade, threw a lot of digital drafts into the bin, and turned it into what you see here now.
“An inventory of all things handmade” means tutorials for your home, wardrobe or wedding, interviews with makers, curated products by talented artists from around the world. It’s a way to discover beautiful things off the beaten path, whether it’s a cool new Etsy shop or a great new idea for making your own party decor.
Feel free to submit your work to be featured, or email me at email@example.com if you want to talk collabs or just be pen pals. If you want to share Kittenhood tutorials on your blog or magazine, you may use a photo, as long as you link back to the original source. Please don’t share entire posts or tutorial photos without my written permission.
*kittenhood [ˈkɪtənhʊd] – noun – the state, or time, or being a kitten. From noun kitten- (diminutive of a cat) + suffix -hood (denoting a condition or state of being).
