You know how taste is so connected to memory? Pretty much everyone I know has that favorite food from their childhood which transports them to another time. And then there’s the food we so closely associate with certain places. With this idea in mind, I took a virtual tour of the world (wide… web…) and came back with 10 staple recipes from different travel destinations. This way, whenever you want to bring Japan to your doorstep, you can make onigiri. Or make a delightful pizza margherita when you have the Italy blues.
What would you add to this list? I’d love to hear what food you consider a staple in your area or the foods that remind you of vacation!
